Book Snake

We call her the BOOK SNAKE as she's not a worm anymore, this madness has gone too far hehehe.  You won't see her without a book these days.  I think it's a blessing in disguise that the Kindle was broken or else, she will just be glued there --- all day and all night.  We had to tell her off when we see the light at her room still on.  I know that I've been there.  I was probably the same.  I know that National Bookstore has been my favorite place during my teenage years.  At first, I was really thrilled that she loved reading, moreso writing.  Two of my favorite things to do.  We might not look alike but we're so alike in so many ways.  But, these days, I had to sometimes confiscate the book just to make her play or do other things.  I just don't want her to be socially inept - like me.

Dawter T @ 10

Loves to read.  Voracious reader.  Book SNAKE. Likes to dress up and do things on her hair.  Would love to use the hair straightener. Is at puberty...  I think.  She'll probably become taller than me soon. Very quiet, can seat on a corner and read.  Not very sociable.  Comes off as "mataray".  But, she's just shy, I guess. Loves to eat anything now. Gone were the days when you have to time her or forced her. Loves Friends.  A side note.  I used to watch Friends while pregnant with her.  I always tell her that when she was 1 year old, she would dance to Friends' them song.

Bebi A @ 7

Loves helping me when I'm cooking...  She likes dicing potatoes...  I also make her throw the trash. Still cuddles with me and hugs me and kiss me...  I wish she will be like this forever.  Sweet and easy to be with.  No dramas.  Not much. Dresses as she please. No fashion sense like mommy.  Still loves her beef steak, pork adobo, roasted pork, fries and Coke. Her lenten promise for this year is not to eat chocolate.  When she later learned that her friend R will be having a party for his 8th birthday, she decided not to included chocolate cake in her promise as she feels tita J makes the best chocolate cupcakes. Loves her Ate even though her Ate bullies her.  She has learned to "fight" back by telling on her Ate.  Hayz!

Fall

After living in Melbourne for a year, I can safely say that fall/autumn is my favorite season. Summer is too hot.  Winter is too cold.  Spring though colorful is a bout with hay fever.  But, Autumn or fall is a turn of colors, not too cold (yet) and not hot anymore.   It is just right.

Post Valentine Treats

Pre and I really don't do Valentine.  It's ok if he doesn't get me anything but I really want him to continue his "tradition" of giving a rose to our 2 girls.  Actual V-day was a bit hectic for him at work and was not able to get flowers.  He apologized profusely to the girls and they took it really well. Come Saturday, while the girls were at a party, we saw these bunch of roses at a reasonable post-Valentine price and we grabbed them.  And, when we picked them up, we placed these flowers on their seats at the car so when they opened the doors, they were ohhhh so pleasantly and wonderfully surprised.  They were so giddy with happiness receiving so much roses.  Bebi A had pink and Dawter T had red.  They loved it so much!  Later on, Dawter T put the flowers on a vase, she did this pretty flower arrangement that I should have taken photos LOL...  I didn't though. I am just happy with the expressions on their faces.  Happy Va...

Everyday Is A New Beginning

New Year for this blog is almost a month after.  Anyway, Chinese New Year is around the corner.  So, it's still "New Year"...  But then, whatever day it is or month, I always feel that everyday is a chance for a new beginning. 2012 held lots of wonderful memories, and sad ones as well.  Last year held a different role for me.  Mom, Wife, Homemaker, Employee in one roof.  I always felt and probably will always feel that coming to Melbourne is a huge blessing for me and my family. The girls are settling quite well even without Ate A at their side.  I think this is the greatest blessing that I get to receive.  To take care of my daughters first hand.  I see them thriving, though still very shy.  I guess it's in the genes.  Their appetite is so good that hubby and I sometimes have to ask them to stop eating.  LOL.  Bebi A had few asthma episodes even during winter.  Ate is growing up, becoming a la...
