What Am I Afraid Of?

Really. I feel so good today. The fears I had yesterday and the day before were pointless. Just trust in the Lord and He will provide you with peace. I was saying a small prayer last night. "Lord, give me peace". And, He did.

2008's memories

Until now, I couldn't come up with my 2009 resolutions sans stating the obvious hehehe 2008 has been a great year for us and I wanted to hold on to that... Family Matters. We've been blessed with a home we can call our own. No more landlord battles. And, we wouldn't feel like crying every month when we're paying our over priced rent. We're all happy with the new place. It took some getting used to but we're very comfortable now. We found good schools for both Dawter T and Bebi A. Dawter T is starting Primary school while Bebi A's stepping into Nursery. They are both going to Catholic schools. Papa and Mama came to Singapore to help us out with Dawter T. We feel blessed that the two girls were able to spend time with them. Tita E and Tito B came with their children and spent a week touring around Singapore. Those were one of the best weeks of my 2008. Work. Pre is still with the "bus" company. Hehe. Though commuting from our new place t...

My "Abraham" Journey

I call this as such because I felt it was similar to what happened to Abraham when God asked him to offer Isaac. Last March, I got a call from a headhunter. I was intrigued because the client was an MNC but so many things happened in March and it took my breathe away. I went for the interview and got a positive review. Through the headhunter, the MNC sent their offer and asked me to decide within the day. Honestly, I was not all into it. I got burned on the last MNC I went to. And, though there are many down moments here at my current workplace, I like my after office hours activities hehehe I like that I can come home at 7. The day I decided that I will not take it, I got problems in the office as well so I felt my head was clear and that I did not let my emotions run wild. Few days after, I got this nagging feeling that I didn't do the right thing. Sister C coincidentally told me a story about her friend who told her that if you're feeling uneasy, the Lord wants you to...

Faith

"My friend, there is nothing left for you to do, but everything for you to believe. Don’t try to work for your covenant blessings. Rest in the Son’s finished work and receive them by faith!" From New Creation's church Daily Devotional (Pastor Prince) - 22 April 2008

Good Things Will Happen

I am glad that I have finished my March life-changing To Do's (until the wee hours this morning). And, a brand new month has started. I am walking like a zombie today due to lack of sleep but a friend whom I talked to this morning made me feel better. Whatever happens, it's part of God's plan. I always believe that. It is just that sometimes, when you get disappointed, you cannot help but sulked a little. But, a few weeks or months after, you will see the whole picture. God let "not so good" things happen so that another great thing will happen. We just need to learn to trust God with our all, all the time.

Season of Hope

Good things happen to us during Easter. After all, it's the season of hope. It's something that made me reflect on the goodness of the Lord. After the heartaches, we too had our own little victories in life. Oh, please don't get me wrong, I still sulked at times (my hubby will probably say --- most of the time hahaha) when things don't go my way but I want to remind myself of the countless blessings we've received. Jesus has risen. And, he suffered not for his own glory but because he loves us so much and wants to save us from our sins. Happy Easter

Searching

I noticed that I get this angst with my job at the start of the year, if you dare read my last year's posts, you'll notice that there's a similiarity with what I am feeling now. I am a bit happier though than last year because I have Filipino colleagues to chat, eat and shop with haha I still remember to thank the Lord because I still have a job to go to. I hope that this feeling will pass away. And, that I will be able to sit contentedly, welcome and cheerfully talk to my users when they have queries. "Thank you, Tita Avs, Christine and Aslee ! Your inspirational comments are very much appreciated." Let me end this post with a today's Daily Devotional by Pastor Prince of New Creation Church . That it may give you hope in times of sadness and trials. God Has Already Been To Your Future Isaiah 54:22 “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. The L...

Closure

That's what I needed at the start of this year! Though one door closed, another one will open soon --- with the help of the Lord! Thank you, Lord --- for the answer. (Katuwa kasi I asked for an answer and He gave it to me today.)

Being Lukewarm

I've been reading a book that one of my ex-colleagues gave me and it strucked me that I have gone a long way AWAY from what I used to be. It's so sad that the turmoil of my life (and 5 teleseryes at night hehehe) could cause this. Whereas once, I talk and breathe about my faith. I find it slipping away and I am really getting scared. I really hope that I will be able to surpass all the trials that I am currently facing and just surrender everthing to Him who knows what's best for me. I feel His presence everytime I holler for Him but I want to go back to those times that I am with Him 24x7. When I talk and tell him my concerns and there's a voice that directs me to the right decisions. I also noticed that I get so mad easily these days --- as if all the stress in the world is on my shoulder. I need to relax, not just workwise but also at home. I don't want to tip-toe anymore. "Lord, guide me, fill me with your love everyday. So that I won't turn an...
