Parang Preso

When I left my last job and started with my current one. I had a tough time adjusting. For 4 years, I had to ask permission for every little thing I needed to do which concerns my work. I had to come in at exactly 830AM. I only have 1 hour lunch time. And, I cannot go out during office hours even just to the nearby concession stand. In my current job. Not only am I accountable for my work, I don't need to ask permission but I have to be prepared for the consequences. I can come in at 9:30AM. And, I can take my lunch til 230PM. I can go to the nearby grocery to buy my stuffs at odd hours. It was like coming out of prison. Some prisoners couldn't adjust after being shelled for years that they do bad things again just to go back (saw this at Shawshank Redemption movie). Or take their own lives. In fairness though, the coming out was the only semblance. I adjusted fairly well after 2 years. Today is my 2nd year anniversary coming out from HaDaBa! Also, Pre is coming ou

What's up?

The past 2 weeks has been hectic, with the move and all. We are slowly settling down but still couldn't find a nice spot for the sofa due to the uneven corners of our so-called castle, mwehehehe... Dawter T has been sleeping later and later. What with the late night PBB that we watch. She waits for us to lie down before she sleeps. She's getting thinner again, doesn't want to eat. We call her "lampayatot" as she always trips, bump into something. She's also becoming "maarte" (read : di ko yata anak to! imagine, mahilig sa high heels at makeup! hello! sabi nga ng agent naming walang kwenta "I'm not like that!" -- sa ibang araw na lang ang kwento dun sa agent na yun, hmmm kung bibigyan ko sya space dito aside from this.) Dawter A is still adjusting. She's not sleeping well during the day. We wonder if it's the heat or what. Aside from that, from a mom's point of view, she's just so adorable. She wakes up with a smile. And

Pinoy Ako

Sentimental Fool

Last night was the handover of our flat to the owner. I cried. (Only Pre saw it though and he teased me mercilessly about it!) That flat is full of memories and I'll cherish it for a long, long time.

Potty-Trained?

Imagine going to bed full of worry... And what I am worrying about? You may ask... I am scared that when I wake up the next morning, the bed will soaked in pee hahaha We told Dawter T that once she finishes her last bag of Huggies diapers, we won't buy anymore. Last night was the first night. Before she went to bed, I asked her to pee and she did. Her daddy constantly reminded her to tell us if she wants to pee, she said ok. Hurrah! I woke up in a dry bed.

Letting Go

My family couldn't let go of our flat in Bishan. I think that's the reason why it was so hard for us to find a new flat. Aside from the fact that we are so accustomed to the place, the neighbors are all so nice, and the convenience of transportation to/from our place, there's one thing we're still holding on to. And that's the nearby market. Please don't laugh but that market might just appeal to you hehehe Diapers and my daughter's ek-ek are all a dollar or two below Fairprice/Carrefour prices. Imagine that. Then, Sister C will definitely miss her everyday drink --- fresh soya milk. Ate A her cheap top-up cards. I will miss the auntie whom I buy pork from. She already knows what I want to buy before I even say it. I will also miss the uncle who knows Tagalog and whose stall has saba banana. The area also boasts of so many medical/dental clinic. That's why we don't need to go far to get an MC. My daughters' pedia is also near the market. I should

Beh-lat!

This little lady now weighs 5.5kg and measures 60cm. in height. Regarding baldness: Just like Andi, Mommy doesn't have much hair when she was a baby. Also just like Andi, Daddy doesn't have much hair now. Mwahahaha!

Our House

We finally found a house. On the 11th, we will be moving to our new flat at Chiltern Park (huhuhu, that's after four years). I am having mixed emotions. Our current house, or rather, home has saw us through so many happiness, tears, trials and triumphs. This is where we came home to after Pre and I got married. This is my daughters' first home. We even decided to buy it but HDB's regulations wouldn't allow us as the flat can only be bought by Chinese or Malays. Hayyyy... I will surely miss every nook.

Joining the bandwagon

Because of dawter T's bad eating habit, I get to watch Pinoy Big Brother on TFC. Big Brother, please don't give eviction notice yet to : Uma --- I just feel that he's one of the few who brings conflict to the group and that's why it's more interesting to watch the show. Cass --- Para syang si Jerry sa Survivor. The girl you love to hate.
