Szia

is Hi in Hungarian! (tama ba to? hehehe) Been a few days since I last blogged, wanted to but after watching Singing Bee, all I wanted to do is to cuddle up my babies and sleep. It's a long trek everyday since Monday but I think I am getting used to it. I just need to have something that will occupy me during my 1.5 hours bus ride (AM : sleeping; PM : Ipod). I have started my "online" training. And, I have met really nice people so far. I just wish I can fast track learning and coping so I don't feel like a blind being led by someone. It's hard tip-toeing, making sure that I am doing the right thing in this new environment especially when every tool and hardware was at my disposal last time. I also don't need to answer to anyone. Oh well, that's the challenge, right? That's the one that makes me get up at 615 in the morning! *** Note : Please check out Pagemaps' August Roundmaps . Mareng M and I are finally friends of Pagemaps!

Dress Code

If wearing jeans every day of the week is the gauge for a great workplace, my new job would have a tie with my last workplace in the Philippines. Yes, we can dress down the whole week. I am so thrilled with this prospect. First day was ok. My boss took a picture of me from camera phone and sent this picture in an email to the global team. Oh man! Workwise, I find the team to be so organized and that scares me. After being lawless for a year, it's a big turnaround. When I opened my email this morning, I got almost 70+ mails, and my training plan already laid out. They also gave me a web camera and headset for team web conferencing. (I really need to lose weight now, the camera will add a few more pounds hahaha) Then, I found out that they don't come to work on time and we can leave at exactly 545pm. Woohoo! That's one of the things that were nagging me but I was so pleased to learn that. We even had a 1 and a half hour of lunch time. Hmmm... This could be very

Weight Alert

Not only for me but also for Bebi A. Having a healthy appetite is one of my wish for my kids but I think Bebi A's is getting out of hand hahaha She cannot wear some of her clothesbecause she has outgrown them even though the sizes of the clothes are for a 4 year old. She always complain that "it's too tight, mommy" Hehehe Oh well. When I look at Bebi A's picture when she was still a baby, I couldn't believe that she grown this size now. Hahaha.

Convent Girl

Dawter T is now an official convent girl. Hmmm, well, that's what my ex-colleague calls herself. She went to the same school (different branch) as the one that we registered Dawter T to. I hope that Dawter T will be able to adjust to her new school next year.

I've Been In This Situation Before

Yet, I still feel nervous and scared. I really want to make this work. I am getting tired of moving. I want to find a "home". Hopefully, tomorrow, I won't feel any butterflies in my stomach. I won't feel left out when they don't talk in English. That the environment is friendly. And, that my new boss is really nice like his emails.

Almost There

Just when I thought that I am still far, I can now see the finish line. Until the next run. Hopefully, this time I will be able to endure and strive more. And, That I will have the zeal to go on even when the roads are rough and the soles of my shoes are almost thread-thin. It's never easy. I hope I won't get scared.

Turning 33

feels like 23. Hahaha. How I wish my body would think so too. But, Mareng M and I talked about how our bodies were giving telltale signs that we're getting old. Pains were here and there. I still feel blessed despite that I am 10kg heavier hahaha Thank you to Ate A. Thank you to my family and friends. Mwah! To my buddies who indulged me in a last minute "bonding" since we need to stuff a friend with lots and lots of carbo for their marathon tomorrow. Thank you to my sis C! And, to my Pre who surprised me with a treasure hunt. And, of course my daughters' hugs and kisses. Love you!!!

Weekend Has Officially Started

God is Sooo Good

Being the Kiasu mother that I am, I called up the school and found out that the number of students who registered were less than the alloted slots so that means we'll wait for the confirmation letter... Hehehe...

So That's How

You register for Primary 1 in Singapore. I am a bit tired from travelling from North-East (that's where we live) to all the way in the West (the school). We're still not sure if Dawter T's slot is confirmed since there were a lot of people there who were registering for the whopping 66 slots! But, we're believing and praying that Dawter T will get a slot. We'll know by the 23rd.

Hidden Agenda

I was not feeling well last Saturday night, could be due to reading a book with too small font size. Or maybe, I overate and was feeling nauseaus! Hahaha... While I lay down in our bed, Bebi A asked me, "Mommy, are you ok?" "No, I'm not. My head is aching" "Do you want my oil?" Pertaining to the Alcamporado. "No, I was Daddy's oil" She then gave it to me. I put it on my head and lay down again. After a while. "Mommy, are you feeling better?" "No" Another few minutes and I was on the verge of falling asleep. "Mommy, are you feeling better?" "No" She lay down beside me. Then asked again. "Mommy, are you feeling better now?" Sige na nga para matapos na tanong. Hehehe. "Yes, Baby" "Yey, can I play the computer now?" Ayun.

Holy Water

Last Saturday was raining quite hard at our area in Singapore (knowing this country, it's probably sunny some place else hehehe)... I told them God is blessing Bebi A's birthday with rain. Dawter T then said, "Is it holy water?" Nyahahahaha. So cute!

My First Daughter's Ninang

If I could just fathom the depth of Dawter T's mind... Imagine, she thought of this... Ate A just told me about this, I was tickled yet 'worried' hahaha Dawter T : "Bebi A, when I have my first daughter, I want you to be the ninang. Just like mommy and Ninang C." Of course, my Bebi A said, "Ok". I was dumbfounded. Really. But, I found it sweet as well. I just hope it will be in the far, far, far away future. Hahaha.

Bebi A is now 3

Time flies fast. Our baby is now 3. All she wanted was a Tweety cake and a yellow balloon. Even though I insisted on Strawberry Shortcake, her wish is still my command! Hehehe... Happy Birthday, my dear Bebi! This super fab layout was created by my Kumareng M (Bebi A's ninang)! Tenchu Tenchu! Please check out her blog, she's giving away a RAK!

Primary 1 Registration

Here in Singapore, the (enrollment) registration for (Grade 1) Primary 1 is done by phases . Since Dawter T is a Singapore PR with no siblings in any primary school, she cannot apply through Phase 1. Phase 2A1 to 2B is out of the question also. Actually, last year, my ex-boss from HDB who lives nearby told me about volunteering to schools to be able to secure a better slot. I didn't think about it until a few months ago when I realized that we're in 2C. We have chosen 2 schools but until now, we haven't decided which one. One is a Catholic All-Girls school which I am more inclined because it's beside Bebi A's kindergarten and Dawter T can learn Catholic doctrines. However, the other school has a higher rank in PSLE and considered to be one of the best schools in our area. We are within 1km mark on both schools in case there's too many registrants and the school has to do balloting. So many things to consider. And, I am still clueless.

When Life Is Complicated

I have them.
