Bonding

Dawter T has always captured our hearts with her antics. Last night, she held Bebi A's hand and sang "Our Father who are in heaven..." She really knows when to melt Mommy's heart.

A year older

I just turned 30. A year wiser? Nah --- not yet anyway... Still couldn't figure out how to handle my two makulit kids hehehe It was a simple celebration yet different from the my other birthdays. I was sick. Nursing fever due to engorgement. So, I had to go to TMC's lactation consultant to have my engorged "b" massaged. It was an experience I will never forget. After childbirth, it should have been chicken feed, right? But, was not! It was pain I cannot explain. Motherhood. The joys and the ?????!!!! Pain aside, sister C and Pre surprised me with a little celebration at home. Sister C brought home balloons and the chocolate cake I've been craving for some time, "Lana's Chocolate Cake". A little bit disappointing from the review but it was better than the other chocolate cakes I tasted here in Singapore. Tasted like Red Ribbon's chocolate cake. If you want to give it a try, trek along Bukit Timah or ask Sister C for details. Pr

Born on the 5th of July

Pre and I had a hunch that during my check-up on July 2 that my OB will suggest that I go for induction on the 5th. As I have written here before, she classified Dawter T's birth as difficult delivery thus she doesn't want the baby to get too big inside the womb. During the checkup, Dawter A approximately weighed 3.1kg and I am already 1.5cm dilated. Thus, the verdict was set. On the 5th of July, I will undergo induction. I prayed hard that this is the right decision. I don't want to rush into things. I mean second delivery should be easier, right? And though, the first one was difficult, Dawter T managed to come out via the normal way. I prayed that the Lord will put a stop to the induction if it's not His will. Few days went by and nothing happened to pre-empt or stop the birth. I started my maternity leave on the 4th. Prepared my bag and some other office thingies. Pre and I went to mass at Novena Church to ask for guidance and support. At 7am the next day, off we we

Lukso ng Dugo

Totoo pala talaga yun... Yesterday, Papa arrived from Pinas. Though Dawter T was a little shy at first. After a few minutes, they became good buddies. Dawter T pestered Papa as she tagged along wherever he went. This morning, Dawter T woke up early and ate Papa's home made gulaman. She has a new Tagalog word as the gulaman crushed on her fingers "Palpak" (heard from Papa). It warms my heart that after a day, she has become lolo's girl. I want to give her the chance to get to know his lolo. I never did and didn't try very hard, though my relationship with Papa is better now. Hopefully, Papa can stay longer this time.
