Vivong Vivo

Gala is like caffeine to my veins. Kahit na puyat puyat pa because of my 2AM preventive maintenance which dragged on til 10AM, I asked my family to go to Church then to Vivo City. They claim that Vivo is Singapore's Megamall. Well, we really didn't looked at every nook. We just ate The Chicken Rice Shop then looked at the first floor shops. I wanted to go to Toys R Us but it was full of people so Pre just told me to just go one floor up. Good thing coz we saw the "I don't know how to call it" floor. But, it's the top floor which has the wading pools and it was overlooking Sentosa. Ang ganda! Natuwa ako talaga. Ang babaw ba! It probably refreshed me because work has really been toxic. And being at a new place did me good.

Freeze No More

Life just got better. I was feeling frustrated (AGAIN!!!) with work. Waking up has become an ordeal. And couldn't make myself walk fast these days. SUDDENLY, they gave me VPN access to be able to connect to the DC. I say life has become much more pleasant. I mean, I won't need to stay inside the freezer just to check my mails. Before, there's a thick line (of snow hahaha) separating the data center and the internet area. But now, I got this very good package. The only hitch is if there are a lot of people who wants to use the internet. Then, someone will just unplug my laptop and connect theirs. That's mobile in the first degree. Kahit bastusan, walang personalan, trabaho lang. Still, this is another answered prayer.

Hop, Hop and Away

Yesterday was our surprise potluck despedida for our friend, b1. He's migrating to melbourne, australia this coming saturday. His family will be left behind for almost 4 months. He needs to find a job first and settle down. After all the fun we had last night, I suddenly felt sad. I hate changes, I hate goodbyes. Though we'll probably see each other again once or more in our lifetime. I really felt it won't be the same as living in the same country. We had our moments. Aso't pusa kasi kami. But sometimes, we get to be on the same side. We like the same US shows. We both like to eat a lot. We like to argue and prove we're right hahaha Then, when his family moves, I'll miss his very charming wife J, my smart inaanak, D and his kid brother R. Ganun talaga buhay. Sometimes you want to have consistency, but then, we have to move on to plant our roots and grow. So long, my friend.

I rant

Around 845pm last night, we went to Spageddies in Paragon to have a very late dinner. I came straight from work as I am the duty officer this week and I had to spend a little more time to check things. Our dinner started with a waiter who looks so sleepy as he took our orders. The girls had pasta while Pre had steak and crayfish. Around 920, the waitresses told us that the kitchen is closing and asked if we have any other orders. Pre asked for his Iced Tea refill, the girl said that the drinks bar was also closed. Good thing, the manager stepped in to alleviate the situation and gave Pre his due. I believe that the girl just wanted to go home and she does not want to give us anymore. The waitresses started hovering and asking if they can take our plates, One girl also asked if they can serve the dessert. At 930, the cashier came over and asked us to pay up. I was getting riled up coz we're still eating and I felt that they have to at least wait for us to finish the main c
