Year End Report 2005

2005 came like the wind. Want to share with you some of the highlights. My brother in law's family came for a vacation on April. Dawter T had a blast, she finally met her cousins. Pre was so happy to see his brother and pamangkins. Sister C celebrated her birthday in Singapore. Discovered a new caterer. It was a yummy affair! Watched Hi-5 concert! Papa came to visit and be with us during Bebi A's birth. We were blessed with an addition to the family. The birth of Andrea, "andi" on July. Pre and I were able to celebrate our birthdays with Papa. Dawter T had a simple birthday celebration. She had so much fun that she cried when her guests went home. We moved to a new house. How tiring it was to pack and unpack! But, now that we're finally settled. It was worth seeing my family happy in our new home. My brother in law migrated here in Singapore. Pre has finally moved to a new workplace. (Libre na pamasahe nya sa bus nyahahaha!) Thank you, Lord! Bebi A ha...

Happy 5th Anniversary!

That was the greeting engraved in Pre's gift... Thus, he was greeting me one year in advance coz it's only our 4th wedding anniversary! Blooper aside, it was one of the most romantic day of my life. It started on the night of the 27th coz he couldn't help but give me his gift as he was excited to see my reaction. His gift was the one on top of my wish list. Grabe, couldn't really believe that he will give it to me. Fast forward in the afternoon, we went to mass at Novena Church. It has been our tradition to go to mass during our anniversary. It's one way of thanking the Lord for our family, for our love. That the Lord will continue to guide as husband and wife, as parents, as partners in crime. After the mass, we rushed to Bugis to have Pre's O2 serviced. Then, we went to Esplanade, at Al Dente Trattoria. When the waitress saw us, she asked us if we want to dine at the rooftop. Naturally, we said yes. It was overlooking the bay. Quite romantic. We had ham and me...

Christmas in our hearts

We welcomed Christmas with our real family. With Sister C, Ate A and bro in law's family. Pre's childhood barkada and his family were also present. It was the first time not spending it alone nor with our friends here. I actually missed our traditional Christmas Eve party where we go to Ninang B's house and then going to mass at the church beside their condo. Hmmm... But being at home, hosting the small party was quite peaceful. It felt "home". Before I came to Singapore, it's one holiday I was not really looking forward to eversince my mommy-lola died. When I was still in Binan, I would spend it quietly with daddy-lolo, coz Tita E's family goes to Tarlac for that holiday. There was even one Christmas, if I am not wrong, the year before my daddy-lolo died when we hopped in the car and drove to Tagaytay. It was very lonely. Now, Christmas is something I look forward to because of my family. I want them to enjoy the day, I want it to be special for them. I w...

Mundane Things

So many things worth living for, little things weigh heavier in our hearts... When I come home from the office, I can see the excitement in Dawter T's eyes. When I see Dawter T playing with Bebi A, her mala-Kuya Cesar version of "Peek-a-boo". And, Bebi A indulging her ate with giggles as if she's the funniest. Though I dreamt of my Dawters eagerly awaiting for chocolate chip cookies, it makes me feel elated that my Kutsinta has the same effect on them (kay Dawter T pa lang). These are some things that lingers, "more precious than silver, more costly than gold, more beautiful than diamonds". *from the song More Precious than Silver (hope it's the right title!)*

The One Where We Don't Have Enough Sleep

I am lucky if I get to the office before 9am. My worst time yet is 940am. Whew! But I have my reasons, I just don't know if it's valid in the corporate world. When I get up at around 10 to 7am, I usually head to the kitchen to get my pump and 2-3 empty milk bottles. 30 minutes and 2-3 full bottles later, I take a bath and dress up. Being the turtle that I am, it usually takes me 20-35 minutes to take a bath. Thus, I wouldn't be able to reach the bus stop at 8am. I tried to wake up earlier. The thing is, when I told you how Bebi A never made me get up in the night when she was 2-3 months old, her sleep cycle suddenly changed. She is now awake at 2am, playing. Sometimes, kicking her dad, talking to us while our eyes are closed. It's either we indulge in this early morning playtime or just ignore her (kawawa naman). Sometimes, she sleeps as soon as she felt her tactics are being ignored, but then, this baby can be persistent at times, she will give you that toothlelss smil...

On Anniversary, Christmas and New Year

I celebrated my 2nd year here at UE last December 1st. With that, I got a 2.5Gb Seagate USB hard disk (teka baka akalain nyo na super galante ng opis namin). Actually, I won it from the seminar I attended that same day (consuelo di bobo coz I wouldn't have gone there if I was not in this workplace). I was actually hoping for an IPOD Nano but this will do (mapili ang lola nyo!)... I've been quite busy preparing for Christmas... Buying, preparing the gift tags then wrapping the presents. I am only 50% done with my shopping. At first, it was a novelty that I couldn't resist --- Shopping, I mean. But now, I am just deadbeat! Top it with stress at work and Bebi A awake for the most part of the night, I will keel over one of these days. Even my boss commented that being sleep deprived have addled my mind and couldn't think clearly these past few days.
