Where did the weekend go?

My long weekend started officially at 7PM Friday night.

I went to Plaza Singapura to buy two scrapbooking mags which I am thoroughly enjoying up to this day (Baby Moments and Sketches). After this splurge, went home, ate dinner of rice and longanisa. I was still high due to my purchase and finished one layout. I stayed up until 1AM. Pre still out from bowling and from a night out with his friends.

The thing with this late night scrapbooking spree was that I was on a fasting starting at 12AM for my glucose tolerance test the following morning. Whoa! I never really thought it was that hard not to take a sip of water. But, it was! That's why, the next morning at Thomson Medical Centre, I was literally dying of thirst and hunger. Don't even begin imagining how to fast until 11AM when you're pregnant. (But, my scan proved that my baby was also thirsty and hungry. During the ultrasound, she was opening her mouth and trying to suck the placenta hahaha BTW, she's now 1.2kg wahhhh dambuhala na naman!) That's why, that afternoon, after eating brunch for me and lunch for the rest of my household. Pre, Dawter T and I took a long nap. Then, had a videoke session c/o the cds of Tita Chocnut. (Dawter T now knows how to sing the first line of I don't want to be lonely *pap para pap para pap para pap para* --- yun lang po alam nya!).

Sunday came. We ate breakfast at home then went to the 1130AM mass at Christ the King church. Afterwards, we went to Dawter T's ninong A's house to celebrate a big event in their lives. It was not our circle of friends but nevertheless had so much fun. We saw pre's cutie inaanak then ate a delicious feast of Sinigang (which pre liked so much), buttered shrimps, crispy pata and fried tilapia! Hayyy sarap! Dawter T had a blast playing alone (since the older kids tagged her as naughty) with her Ate A's kikay toys. Funny because when I fetched Dawter T from the room, one kid was so happy that she was leaving. "She's so gulo-gulo!", the kid informed me. Haha!

We called sister C and Ate A. Told them to meet us at Bishan MRT. We are taking them to dinner as thank you for bearing for the last week's event in our household. We went to Great World City Kenny Rogers as I was craving for Mac n Cheese. Happy to say I didn't eat any. I was still wary because of Andi growing too big inside my womb. I only ate the chicken and brocolli/cauli mix. I gave the mac n cheese to Dawter who happily finished it off. (Her favorite since it's also Baby Bop's fave!)

Monday was rest day. Pre, Dawter T and I woke up at 10AM. Ate breakfast then watched a little TV. I started lunch, tried out papa's chicken estofado recipe. But, pre was not able to eat as he was scheduled to go to work at 1PM. After lunch at 130PM, I managed to pursuade Dawter T to sleep. We slept until 5PM. Saw that pre was already home and eating. He didn't like the estofado as it was sweet for his taste so he volunteered to cook dinner. He did his version of Pinaupong manok while we watch CSI vcds. It was good though salty.

Sister C and I were both grumbling about how short the weekend was. It was but nice to have the familiar feeling when just last week, our lives were turned upside down. I gave my thanks to God for everything normal that had happened. And, feel so blessed with all the people that I love. Sure looking forward for the long Vesak Day weekend.

Hope your weekend was great too!

Confession

Being a Mom.  Sometimes I feel as I am not cut out for it. Too much work.  Too much responsibility.  Too much worry. Worry that Ate T is taking the bus today.  Ate A's tooth is still in there and the new one has already come out.  Baby A has colds and is screaming and wants to cuddle. Sometimes it leaves me breathless. But When I pick up Ate T from our meeting place, I feel so proud of her because she has become independent and can commute.  Ate A's tenacity in wiggling her tooth and she's now toothless, doesn't need to go to the dentist to have it removed.  And, Baby A despite her colds still has appetite and it just feels good to hug her. God has showered me with so much love for giving me 3 wonderful girls.  It feels good being a mommy. Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful Mommies!

Me! Me! Me!

Last night, I created an LO using the picture below when Bebi A happened to see it. She touched it and said "Me?!" "No, it's me!" I told her. It was really me when I was Bebi A's age. The similarities will not be able to deny that Bebi A is my daughter hahaha I just hope that my bubbly and sunny bebi will not get the mom's sumpong(s). This is one of the few baby pics that I have. I used to have 3 baby albums but one of the worst floods that hit Pinas also took away my memories. Now, this is Bebi A.

Creativity

Dawter T called me up and told me that Bebi A tore her art and made a monster out of the girl in the picture. I know that it's not being mean. Bebi A doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She just don't understand. I talked to Bebi A. Asked her to kiss and make up with her Ate, She did. Ate A told me that she went up to Dawter T and kissed her, then asked "Is this better, Ate?" Awwww... Dawter T's "smashed" art was one of her best. I was really impresed. If only I have taken a picture of it this morning. It was really beautiful. It was a portrait of a girl, by the way. I hope that Dawter T can still replicate it. I know that not all kids are alike. And, my daughters have their own endearing qualities. One's art is different from the other. Dawter T has the potential (not because I'm her mom, ok ok, it maybe because I'm her mom hahaha) and Bebi A's, well, let's just say abstract. Hehe.
