We called our ex-landlady and asked for the deposit. Tried to be firm that we want it back. She said that she has the quotation already and it's 1KSGD! Huwhatttt?! That's 1KSGD for the whole tabletop of the kitchen, not only the part she complained about!
We asked her to be fair. It's too much. Here we are at the losing end no matter what. We should only be paying part of it (eeekkk I don't even want to pay anything but this will just go on and on if we don't compromise!). She said no!
OMG! We are giving them a new counter! And come to think of it, when we took over the place, it's almost peeling! And just because we didn't complain about it --- now, we're suffering!
