Dress Code

If wearing jeans every day of the week is the gauge for a great workplace, my new job would have a tie with my last workplace in the Philippines. Yes, we can dress down the whole week. I am so thrilled with this prospect.

First day was ok. My boss took a picture of me from camera phone and sent this picture in an email to the global team. Oh man! Workwise, I find the team to be so organized and that scares me. After being lawless for a year, it's a big turnaround. When I opened my email this morning, I got almost 70+ mails, and my training plan already laid out. They also gave me a web camera and headset for team web conferencing. (I really need to lose weight now, the camera will add a few more pounds hahaha)

Then, I found out that they don't come to work on time and we can leave at exactly 545pm. Woohoo! That's one of the things that were nagging me but I was so pleased to learn that. We even had a 1 and a half hour of lunch time. Hmmm... This could be very interesting! (parang ayaw magtrabaho ano???)

good for you! i feel bad for people who have to dress up...i wear jeans, converse and a sweatshirt 90% of the time. =) although i realize i need to be more presentable, nothing beats comfort!

Nyamy Nyamy

Our Bebe A is at the stage of being cheeky and endearing.  She can speak so many words now, some clear, some not.  Hehehe.  She likes to sing as well.  She actually has a good tone.  One of the songs that she likes is the one from Wiggles --- Fruit Salad.  Her version though is : Mom : Fruit Salad Bebe A :  Nyamy Nyamy (Yummy Yummy)

Math Matters

Dawter T called me up and excitedly told me that she's the highest in Math for term 1. So, I thought it was for their exam in Ordinal numbers. "Mommy, Mrs. T said, I am the highest in my tests and in my worksheets. I am 100 %!" Ok, ok, it's our first year in Primary so I am still a bit confused with the grading system. Then, she said, my English is good, but it's not like Math! That got me more confused! But still, I owe her a trip to Night Safari! Hehehe. *** I got home and found Dawter T's assessment folder. And lo and behold, it's true! I am very proud of my chicka! Hehehe (And Pre was even more than proud, for him, only Math matters hahaha)

Sunday Afternoon

We've had an adventure this afternoon. We ate at Pizza Hut and was very disappointed that they forgot to bring out our pizza. It should have come sooner but they made a mistake of bringing out thin crust instead of pizza hut. Pre had to ask the crew about it and only then did they informed us that the pizza was still 5 minutes away, and they were giving us some fried chicken for our wait. I mean, hello? We've waited a long time and it was not our fault and you only thought of the chicken after my husband marched in to your area to ask! We're not difficult customers. We're just hungry hehehe... Bad thing turned to good. The manager was Filipina and after Pre told her about our case, she said that Pizza Hut decided that we don't need to pay for what they have served. Fair enough. But, I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon. So sad. To cap our day, took some photos of the girls. Ate too conscious of her teeth. Bebi A, loving her yellow balloon.
