Happy Mother's Day!

I love this day! :D Got to spend it with my sweets. Thank you for the paper roses which was inside a used Yakult (my eldest told me that the Yakult was to be used as pencil holder!). Two cards from my youngest, one in English, another one in Mandarin! Life is sooo good (despite the drama!) Hahaha!

Little Women

I am not sure how my little girls became little ladies before my eyes. One night, I enticed the girls with my special liquid soap (Marks and Spencer Aloe Vera foam wash) so that our night time bath ritual will be painless. Since then, they use it at night (I am not even sure if children their age can use it but I don't see anything different on their skin hehehe), they like it because as Bebi A puts it, "I smell good." A few weeks back, we went to M&S to buy some girly things hehehe and they saw the foam wash in different colors. Dawter T likes the peach, Bebi A likes the water lily. So, now, I am in a predicament, which foam wash to buy first? Hehe. I love that I get to share these things with the girls. I am not someone who's kikay. I don't wear make-up, I don't like lotion and I only comb my hair after bathing and sometimes before sleeping hahaha (that's why I need to rebond my hair). So, this is quite special for me. I just hope they won't be l...

It's One Of Those Days

This morning, Bebi A woke me up and asked me to pick her up at school (nawili ang bruhaha, sinundo ko kasi nung Friday). I told her that I can't since I will be at work. That got me into thinking again. I know it's not yet time. We have bills to pay, families to support. But, I would like to stay at home and take care of the girls (and maybe scrap hehehe). But, as I have said (convincing myself), it's the not the right time yet. When will be the right time?

Maalaala Ko Kaya

Last Saturday night, we watched Maalaala Mo Kaya featuring Juday. We (ooops Sister C and Ate A) were making additional ribbons to hang on our Christmas tree. Anyway, my girls cannot sleep if I'm not yet inside the room so they kept on going to the living room until Pre came from his basketball game and they caught 10-15 minutes of the show. We cried coz it talked about forgiveness, and family and Christmas. Dawter T was quiet when she went inside the room. And, when we're already in bed, she kept on asking me about the show. I explained to her about it because I don't want her to think the mothers can just poison their children, grrrr, that's why I try not to make them watch those kind of things. Later on, she still couldn't sleep, she asked, "why are all Filipino 'movies' sad?" That made me laugh. So I told her, that the shows we watch here are limited but there's also happy shows. Awww...

Welcome Home

This greeted me at the door. My uber artistic dawter T made this for me!

Why God Gave Me These Two

to guide these two young girls in their daily lives, that they may grow up in Christ, decent and not self-serving. Happy Mother's Day!

Day 11 : Pray

When you start your day in prayer, everything seemed so easy. Managed to squeeze the following in the morning : 1. Cook 2. Bathe the girls 3. Clean Bebi A's bottles 4. Sweep the floor 5. Washed our "basahan" 6. Chat (hahaha) 7. Work from Home (Ok, I really need to tell my boss that I am taking time off after this 2 week leave, haha) 8. Blog Hop So cool, right?! And, I am loving being at home. I don't need to try to make myself "office-presentable". Or spend unnecessarily because I am outside and can see all goodies lined up in Cold Storage. How I wish they will allow me to work from home. Much as I hate to admit one other factor of my good day was --- my boss was on leave so nobody to stressed me out.

Day 7 : Sleeping Child{ren}

These, I don't get to see often. Oh so innocent and unruly (at times hehehe), but I love them so!

Day 5 : Wonder Pets

My daughters turned into monkeys. They seemed to like playing rough these days. And me, the ultra scared mommy turned to shout at them left and right. Blame it on PMS! Well, I am really like this. As I've said, patience is not my virtue. But, I try. And, I really don't want them to remember the party pooper mommy whom they will want lesser at home. Right? So, I really try to just close my eyes and breathe when Bebi A spills her blocks over. Or, when she runs and touches the walls with chocolates on her hands. Or when Dawter T piles her scraps of papers beside her bed. Or, when I had to call her 3 or 4 times just to make her brush her teeth. Whew! I almost fell asleep. That's a lot of things to close my eyes for haha. It's fun watching them though. Bebi A happilly munching the M & Ms (Okay, please! No contra! Eating is sort of our bonding moment.) I just make it a point not to put it directly in her mouth. The blocks --- I just sing "Clean up, clean up!" an...

Day 3 : Mommy's Day Out

Even when Ate A is around, we usually go out by ourselves during Sunday. But, this is one of those Sundays when they let me do things that they won't normally have patience for hehehe thus it became my day off! (?!?!) They even let me nap for awhile when we got home from the mall. And, when I woke, the rice cooker was already on meaning Pre has already cooked rice, woohoo! Downside of the day was Bebi A throwing a fit when it was time to wash her. She wants to bring her toys to play with. She already has cough and I don't want her playing water unnecessarily. Ayun, tagal bago napatahan but I stood firm. Hehe.

Day 1 - Dish Washing

I woke up early (around 645am to check my mails hahaha) to prepare Pre's baon and to cook Dawter T's contribution at her school Christmas party. Fed the two girls with bacon and rice, surefire "ulam" for Dawter T (she managed to finish it in 30 mins!) Then, I coaxed her to take a bath early so that I can braid her hair. This is the only hair style that I can do decently coz I wore short hair until 5th grade. Di lang short hair ha, kulot pa! Hahaha!!! Manang na manang! Prepared for Pre's lunch after the school bus picked Dawter T up. He had adobo, sunny side up and tomato hehehe (replay!) While he ate, I prepared the food for dinner. O di ba? The thing that struck me today was dishwashing. I absolutely hate this chore. But, the whole day, I was washing pans, plates, glasses. No exaggeration. Did I have a change of heart? No Sireeee. I still don't like it. But, I don't like seeing the dishes piling up. While I was washing them, I was also thi...

The 2 Week Challenge

This is what I've been waiting for since the start of the month. My 2 weeks vacation. Of course, people at the office can still call me. It tends to come with my job - the "on call" thing. Anyway, Ate A will be going home tonight via Cebu Pacific. So starting tonight, I will be a stay at home mom. I can't wait! I know it's not easy but I am up for the challenge!

Ibalik nyo daddy ko!

Our second night without Pre didn't go as well as the first night. I should have known that when Bebi A kept on going to the window and checking if Pre is playing basketball. "Daddy, shoot ball!" "Anak, that's not daddy!" "Daddy, shoot ball" I was carrying her at the window but her hand is holding firmly on the rails. I couldn't pry her hand, she's so keen on checking the person who's playing basketball. Well, I bribed her by saying she could cut papers with me. I was scrapbooking and the two girls love it when my papers and tools are scattered around (the first night, they had fun with my punchers; last night, hinimulmol yung ribbons ko! wahhhh!) Bebi A was pacified for awhile. But around 11 and we were already on bed. She started to cry. She wanted to go out of the room. I know that she's sleepy so I tried my "haplos ng pagmamamhal" tactic. We went out to drink water then when we went inside, I laid her on our be...

Female Bonding

Since Pre is in the Philippines, my daughters and I shared the queen sized bed. It's bonding time! Dawter T was so excited because she would be sleeping beside Bebi A. It turned out to be a riot though. While Dawter T was leading the evening prayer, Bebi A was humming. I covered her mouth and she laughed. In effect, Dawter T laughed too and couldn't continue praying. Not only that, after the prayer, Bebi A kept on tossing and turning. She just couldn't sleep. She asked for her Tweety pillow. She wanted to rest her head on it. Then, she moved again making a mess of Dawter T's blanket. The thing with Dawter T's blanket, I dunno if it's OCD but she wants it to be smooth and in place. We kept on telling her that when you sleep, your blanket is bound to get messed up. She would mumble and grumble if she accidentally move it. Oh well, so you can just imagine what happened when she put the blanket on top of Bebi A. I thought of the solution for us to be able to sleep. ...

Who said I don't have time for fun?

Last Thursday was Sister C 's company's movie night. Just like the other years they had it, we tagged along with her. This year's movie was Spiderman 3. (Spiderman movies hold a special memory in my heart coz Spiderman 2 was the first movie that Dawter T watched on the big screen. ) Though I missed Maging Sino Ka Man, the company, the nachos made up for it hehehe *** All day long, Mader L and I waited the work day to end because we have gimik after almost 3 years (that long, huh!) We met Mader L and Ninong Mah before 8:30 at Glutton's Bay. Then, a few minutes after, Mader M and R arrived. We have a delicious meal, the food was so good that we were silent as we ate it and I think we ate it for 20 minutes tops. (talk about gutom!) After dinner, since the girl's plan was to cap it with fondue at Haagen Dazs which didn't happen hehehe the girls just hopped to the nearest Starbucks while our hubbies went for their liters of beer at ??? (forgot the name of the bar!)...

Priceless

Mother's day is around the corner. Sometimes it still left me breathless about my not so new responsibilities. Like last Sunday, with Ate A was out, I took care of the two girls one after the other. I usually do this every Sunday. But that particular day, everything seemed to go haywire. Bebi A squiggling as I try to clean her. Dawter T not listening when I cried for help to turn the water off. And that scared me to oblivion. Pre was chanting, "Patience, patience, patience". I was panicking deep inside. I have always wanted to be the perfect, hmmm, near perfect mom. The one who can multitask. The one like Mrs. Incredible? Or Mrs. Superwoman? Being a mother is tough job. Tougher than my IT job. Let's thank our mothers. For the pain of childbirth. Let's apologize. For all the pains we've caused. Let's love them more. For no reason at all.

Career Move

I am way past the attachment to the name of the company, way past of the 'benefits' the company is giving me. I am starting a long overdue career, being a MOMMY. You might shake your heads and say "not again!", "here goes the fickle minded at its best" or worst. I tried after deciding to stay on. I am not the type to dilly-dally with my work and that means staying late and working AT HOME (instead of working FROM HOME). I receive calls very early in the morning or late at night that wakes up Pre and the kids. Then, my mood gets sour because of it. That's when I had it. Finally, last monday, I brave it out and passed my resignation letter while my boss handed me my confirmation letter (the company I am working for has 1 year probationary period hahahaha). Ironic! Afterwards was a breathe of fresh air!

Home Line

I was on family care leave last Friday. A few weeks back, Dawter T asked me to bring her to school and fetch her afterwards. To put it in her school term, "I want to be on home line" (She's currently on bus line because she's being fetched by the school bus). She was so happy when I told her that I will be bringing her to school that Friday. When we arrived her school, she frantically waved to her friends, and those friends waved back at her. Some of the kids still couldn't pronounced her name properly though. She told her friends that I am her mommy and she was so proud. I was so proud! I waited for three hours. Yes, the things I will do for my kids. But I was armed with my ebooks and junk foods. To pass the time, I walked (under the scorching heat)to Serangoon Garden and bought Green Tea from McDo. I also bought Happy Meal for Dawter T so that she can eat once school is out. I went back an hour before they'll be let out. Around 1:30PM, they went to the...
