Labor Pains

Last night was especially tiring for me. I experienced this labor pain like pains and I was twisting in bed. It was that painful. Now, I am just tired. It feels like I haven't slept at all. What with the constant jostle with Bebi A's feet and I was feeling uncomfortable. Para ako nadaganan. So later. I will buy multi-vitamins as suggested by Tita A. Ate A and I used to take one but I stopped coz I feel I am gaining weight (oh well! I gained weight even without). Let's face it, I am not getting any younger. It's about time to get really serious with my health.

Revenge Of The Nerd

All weekend long, there was this scene that constantly plays back in my mind. Words that I would have wanted to say. I tried to plan it all. Because words are the piercest of swords. It breaks and makes you. But, HE has a different plan. My plan didn't push through. Funny. But, I believe it's HIS work!

Happy Mother's Day!

RED

I was tagged by Simple Me . I am having a bit of Monday blues so I decided to try brighten up my day with this tag. The Rules: 1. Post your photo wearing red, may it be a red top, bottom, the least would be red accessories if you hate wearing red… If you can’t find one, you still have an option…. Either post your Significant Other’s photo or your child’s photo, if you have one. Of course, they should be wearing red. 2. Let us know the reason why you were wearing red that particular day. Was it your birthday? Is red your fave color or was it the shirt that you first saw in your closet that day? This was taken in Batam. And, the shirt is one of the things I brought during that trip. Also, I believe that time, it was one of my favorite shirts. 3. Tag 3 people close to your heart. By the way, they have to be in your blogroll. No cheating heart please. Lily, Marix and Beth

2008's TO DO's

Don't you feel like time just sneaked up on you? For this year, I plan to take my time, enjoy the days with my family, enough planning but actually start doing things. I don't want to sit idly by and watch time go by. 1. Spend more time with the girls. Read and play with them when I can. And, not to get angry but to talk to them first when they're being makulit. Be a better mother and model to them. 2. Be a loving wife. 3. Lose A LOT of weight. My actual resolution is not to eat any chips this year. Some days I get this bad "manas" and I feel it's because I am storing lots of fluids in my body because of eating too much salty foods. 4. Enough Whining. Enough said, right? 5. Save.

Have Faith

The news was a good way to start my dreaded day! As from my previous posts, the problems that I was about to face at the office was really depressing. I checked my phone as I heard it beeped last night. Dreading the words "XXX server is critical". But, it was an sms from Sister C (yes, we live in the same house and she's on the next room) congratulating me because I won in a scrapbook challenge sponsored by MWL, our local scrapbooking store. I was ecstatic and immediately turned on the computer. And there my layout in their blog hehehe It was actually very simple layout but I detailed how I came about loving the store. Thank you, MWL! Also, a very delicious icing on the cake was ----- Sister C won on the $400 lucky draw! Wow, that's a lot of scrap supplies hehehe "Merry Christmas, Sister C" As for work, it was tough alright but it was better than I expected. And, I want to thank the Lord for it! As what Pre told me gazillion time --- "HAV...

Day 11 : Pray

When you start your day in prayer, everything seemed so easy. Managed to squeeze the following in the morning : 1. Cook 2. Bathe the girls 3. Clean Bebi A's bottles 4. Sweep the floor 5. Washed our "basahan" 6. Chat (hahaha) 7. Work from Home (Ok, I really need to tell my boss that I am taking time off after this 2 week leave, haha) 8. Blog Hop So cool, right?! And, I am loving being at home. I don't need to try to make myself "office-presentable". Or spend unnecessarily because I am outside and can see all goodies lined up in Cold Storage. How I wish they will allow me to work from home. Much as I hate to admit one other factor of my good day was --- my boss was on leave so nobody to stressed me out.

Day 8 : Restless

I kept on checking my email, my phone today. (But nobody cares hehehe) Soooo ironic, just when I (think) found my routine, I feel agitated. Maybe that's why I managed to finish my chores early to keep my mind from thinking too much. Have you ever craved some food but you don't know what it is? Well, that's describes it. My feeling. But, this is not about food. Speaking of, just a sidenote, the mini-mart here at our place now sells my favorite, Chippy! How cool is that! Though there's only the Chili and Cheeze left, I still bought it. For the sake. Anyway, my prayer warriors, please say a little prayer for me. Thanks!

Day 4 : New Dawn

One door closes, another one opens. 'nuff said. Still couldn't fathom the turn of events but I'm sure tomorrow is a better day. As what they say, time heals wounds. Haha. Isang araw lang katapat nyan.

Day 3 : Mommy's Day Out

Even when Ate A is around, we usually go out by ourselves during Sunday. But, this is one of those Sundays when they let me do things that they won't normally have patience for hehehe thus it became my day off! (?!?!) They even let me nap for awhile when we got home from the mall. And, when I woke, the rice cooker was already on meaning Pre has already cooked rice, woohoo! Downside of the day was Bebi A throwing a fit when it was time to wash her. She wants to bring her toys to play with. She already has cough and I don't want her playing water unnecessarily. Ayun, tagal bago napatahan but I stood firm. Hehe.

Day 2 - In The Name of Love

Woke up early to prepare breakfast and go to the market. Came back to a house of energized girls due to an early morning trip to the monkey bar and to Pre who's watching NBA. Did my routine (nothing new here as I am usually the one going to the market every Saturday) I did the laundry then started making lunch. Pre insisted to cook but I told him that I can handle it. What he did was triple "pogi" points though. He cleaned the living room. The thing with him is when he cleans up, it's really clean! Back to the days when we were still single and sharing a house with 4 other friends. We were a team during our scheduled weekend housekeeping. I clean up the kitchen, he mops the floors. Good deal! Hehe... Can't help reminisced our life back then.

Day 1 - Dish Washing

I woke up early (around 645am to check my mails hahaha) to prepare Pre's baon and to cook Dawter T's contribution at her school Christmas party. Fed the two girls with bacon and rice, surefire "ulam" for Dawter T (she managed to finish it in 30 mins!) Then, I coaxed her to take a bath early so that I can braid her hair. This is the only hair style that I can do decently coz I wore short hair until 5th grade. Di lang short hair ha, kulot pa! Hahaha!!! Manang na manang! Prepared for Pre's lunch after the school bus picked Dawter T up. He had adobo, sunny side up and tomato hehehe (replay!) While he ate, I prepared the food for dinner. O di ba? The thing that struck me today was dishwashing. I absolutely hate this chore. But, the whole day, I was washing pans, plates, glasses. No exaggeration. Did I have a change of heart? No Sireeee. I still don't like it. But, I don't like seeing the dishes piling up. While I was washing them, I was also thi...

The 2 Week Challenge

This is what I've been waiting for since the start of the month. My 2 weeks vacation. Of course, people at the office can still call me. It tends to come with my job - the "on call" thing. Anyway, Ate A will be going home tonight via Cebu Pacific. So starting tonight, I will be a stay at home mom. I can't wait! I know it's not easy but I am up for the challenge!

The Week That Was

The past week was a mixture of highs, lows (and I guess, mediums?) It was chaos, lots of last minutes, and sleepless nights. Off to Disneyland --- Not! I needed to go to Hongkong to migrate one server of our subsidiaries last Wednesday. My boss was with me which he carefully explained to me as "bridging management relations". A lot in our department don't find it necessary for him to baby sit us during this biz trips, we do the job, he gets the glory and then he leaves us to "explore" and "learn" hahaha (well, those are his words) When I asked "permission" from my two girls about this biz trip, Dawter T asked me if I am going to Disneyland. I said no, of course. I don't plan to coz I might shed buckets of tears if I go there without them. From last Monday on, my heart was on the verge of panic and sad attack. I managed to finish the migration early so I asked my boss for permission to change my 630 flight to 1:30. I couldn't wait to g...

Camera Shy ang Dalanang Pilipina

My S$15 top! My one and only picture during the Dinner and Dance (told you minus the face)!

Sisa at Chinatown

Though I've lived here for 8 years, I have never really been to the other parts of Chinatown aside from People's Park or the mrt. Mareng M brought me there and opened my eyes to a lot of goodies. We went there to piece a costume for me that will look "Filipina" (our company's DnD is on Saturday and the theme is Around the World). Managed to find an "el cheapo" peasant blouse that has an overlay of a "non-Pina" Barong material. I wanted to go for Maria Clara look but I think Sisa is more plausible (I got the loudest laugh from my classmates when I portrayed Sisa for our declamation piece in my 2nd year HS - the laugh was even before I spoke nyahahaha so believable, I guess). The question --- is it Sisa before she lost Crispin and Basilio, or the Sisa after? Haha.

Me! Me! Me!

Last night, I created an LO using the picture below when Bebi A happened to see it. She touched it and said "Me?!" "No, it's me!" I told her. It was really me when I was Bebi A's age. The similarities will not be able to deny that Bebi A is my daughter hahaha I just hope that my bubbly and sunny bebi will not get the mom's sumpong(s). This is one of the few baby pics that I have. I used to have 3 baby albums but one of the worst floods that hit Pinas also took away my memories. Now, this is Bebi A.

The End

(Warning : my feeling about the book might give away something.) After 4 "interrupted" days, I have finally finished book 7. I am happy about how things ended but I wished that there were more action. Overall, I loved how good conquered evil.
