My Old Job

I have posted in this blog my past work woes, when I was still handling anything technical under the sun. One of those things is coordinating with web hosting companies. It's not every month though that I have to do this, it's just that tracking the expiry, talking to their customer service officers when there's problem can be quite cumbersome. These days there are a lot of web hosting companies at affordable rates. They even give you free email accounts. I remember how I had to look for companies with competitive rates. Further to that, you have to make sure that downtime is minimal, if not zero. I remember when we subscribed to one company and our users used to complain to us every week that their web site is down, that they cannot receive mails. It was horrible! To add to the injury, their customer service was not good. My ex-boss never let me lived that down. One of my teammates suggested to go into the web hosting business. But, I told him that it's quite a ta...

Scent of a Man

Between the two of us, Pre can finish a whole bottle of perfume in 2-3 months. The thing with my hubby is, it's hard to select the scent that he wants. So, it's either I give him a repeat or buy something that I feel would suit him then pray very hard that he will be ok with it. The last perfume I gave him, Armani's Attitude, which was my gift on our anniversary was sweetish for his taste. And, I don't think there will be repeat of that in the near and far future. I find Attitude to be very soothing yet manly. I don't like something that would empower. But, then, I believe it's still how the perfume actually blends with your skin. And, that's how Pre smells it, sweet for his skin. Haha. He's still using it though so I am happy that it didn't go to waste. But, the next time I decide to buy another perfume forhim, I will try to look for a soothing scent that will be more to his taste, compare it to his old perfumes like Tommy Hillfiger, Pol...

Hiatus

I've been on a blogging hiatus. Not because I forgot about it. But, I was so very busy. 3 weeks ago, my two daughters got sick one after the other. Thinking about it makes me want to thank God all over again that they are now up and well. Mid this month, my aunt and uncle came for a visit. We brought them around during the weekends and met with them during the weekday nights. Two days before they left, my aunt's daughter, one of my fave cousins, came for a vacation. She's still with us as of this writing, we're trying to influence her to stay so that we pig out on her homemade salsa and relyenong itlog. My kumare's blog shouted out my sentiments at work. Well, I am trying to like it. I make myself very busy so that I don't have time to think of negative thoughts (read : resign). However, when I went to my ex-office, it brought back "I want to resign" feelings. Oh well, just have to move on. I just have to think that I can claim my daughters' medic...
