Little Women

Ibalik nyo daddy ko!

Our second night without Pre didn't go as well as the first night. I should have known that when Bebi A kept on going to the window and checking if Pre is playing basketball. "Daddy, shoot ball!" "Anak, that's not daddy!" "Daddy, shoot ball" I was carrying her at the window but her hand is holding firmly on the rails. I couldn't pry her hand, she's so keen on checking the person who's playing basketball. Well, I bribed her by saying she could cut papers with me. I was scrapbooking and the two girls love it when my papers and tools are scattered around (the first night, they had fun with my punchers; last night, hinimulmol yung ribbons ko! wahhhh!) Bebi A was pacified for awhile. But around 11 and we were already on bed. She started to cry. She wanted to go out of the room. I know that she's sleepy so I tried my "haplos ng pagmamamhal" tactic. We went out to drink water then when we went inside, I laid her on our be

Female Bonding

Since Pre is in the Philippines, my daughters and I shared the queen sized bed. It's bonding time! Dawter T was so excited because she would be sleeping beside Bebi A. It turned out to be a riot though. While Dawter T was leading the evening prayer, Bebi A was humming. I covered her mouth and she laughed. In effect, Dawter T laughed too and couldn't continue praying. Not only that, after the prayer, Bebi A kept on tossing and turning. She just couldn't sleep. She asked for her Tweety pillow. She wanted to rest her head on it. Then, she moved again making a mess of Dawter T's blanket. The thing with Dawter T's blanket, I dunno if it's OCD but she wants it to be smooth and in place. We kept on telling her that when you sleep, your blanket is bound to get messed up. She would mumble and grumble if she accidentally move it. Oh well, so you can just imagine what happened when she put the blanket on top of Bebi A. I thought of the solution for us to be able to sleep.

7 Random Things

I've been tagged by litcoo . I must post the rules, 7 random things about me and then tag others to do the same. Sound fair enough, right? These are the rules… each player starts with 7 random facts about themselves on their Blog. People who are tagged need to blog 7 facts about themselves and post the rules as well. At the end of their blog list 7 people you are tagging. Let them know that they are tagged by leaving them a comment. 1. I like to cook, do laundry, iron and clean the toilet. I hate washing the dishes and cleaning the storeroom. 2. I love to troubleshoot, on the job or out of the job. However, along the way, I pull my hair if things doesn't go my way. 3. My youngest daughter is my spitting image. I love it when people say so. 4. I love basketball. I used to play basketball when I was in grade 5 and 6. And, I used to dream to play for the national team. However, my dreams vanished when my height didn't go beyond 4'11. 5. I used to go to ballet school. But,

Shoes

I am very picky about my shoes, not that they are extraordinary or very special. I can't describe it but it has to be the design that I want. My choices are ranges from very simple to simple. From flats to half inch heels. It has to something that I can run on when I am trying to catch the bus or there's an emergency in the office. That's why it is very seldom do I use shoes with heels above an inch. It is just not me. My current sandals gave me bunions. And it is crying out for a change of shoes. Especially now that I am walking to/from mrt. It is always painful at night. And, I don't want to complain because it's my fault. They have been telling me to change shoes but my feet are just too stubborn to like the close shoes that I have. My mantra this week is to buy a nice, simple sandals. Where in Singapore? I don't know. The brand where I usually buy shoes from doesn't carry office sandals, too casual for office. I want the padded ones which

Prodigal Staff

I call myself that because I feel like one. So, I am back. A lot has changed. There are a lot of different faces, different names. People were promoted. People who was shelfed for maybe 5 years were finally noticed and was sent overseas. Colleagues who longed for a child got pregnant. The good thing is the network has stabilized and they have cleaned up the data centre. My boss is still the same. Still at war with the one handling the network team. (Come to think of it, it seemed like that position is always at war.) My ex-immediate boss, then yours truly, then my friend B, then now --- new guy D. You might ask if they prepared anything or what (a cheer like what Moody did for Ceding nyahahaha *give me an S --- S* --- loko yan ni Ate A sa kin). Yup, they did. They cleaned up the office a little. Haha. And, the feast? Well, we went to Havelock for Nasi Lemak!
