Heart's day

Day before V day, we had this huge network problem in the office. It went on til the morning of V day. My spirits were so low as I felt helpless against all the servers, routers and switches.

The night made up for my anguish. When I got home, I saw a dozen of peach roses in our bathroom counter(yes, yes, cheezy to the max!) I realized then that no matter how big the problems I face in the day, my family is always there to welcome me at night.

Dress Code

If wearing jeans every day of the week is the gauge for a great workplace, my new job would have a tie with my last workplace in the Philippines. Yes, we can dress down the whole week. I am so thrilled with this prospect. First day was ok. My boss took a picture of me from camera phone and sent this picture in an email to the global team. Oh man! Workwise, I find the team to be so organized and that scares me. After being lawless for a year, it's a big turnaround. When I opened my email this morning, I got almost 70+ mails, and my training plan already laid out. They also gave me a web camera and headset for team web conferencing. (I really need to lose weight now, the camera will add a few more pounds hahaha) Then, I found out that they don't come to work on time and we can leave at exactly 545pm. Woohoo!
