Letting Go

My family couldn't let go of our flat in Bishan. I think that's the reason why it was so hard for us to find a new flat. Aside from the fact that we are so accustomed to the place, the neighbors are all so nice, and the convenience of transportation to/from our place, there's one thing we're still holding on to. And that's the nearby market.

Please don't laugh but that market might just appeal to you hehehe Diapers and my daughter's ek-ek are all a dollar or two below Fairprice/Carrefour prices. Imagine that. Then, Sister C will definitely miss her everyday drink --- fresh soya milk. Ate A her cheap top-up cards.

I will miss the auntie whom I buy pork from. She already knows what I want to buy before I even say it. I will also miss the uncle who knows Tagalog and whose stall has saba banana.

The area also boasts of so many medical/dental clinic. That's why we don't need to go far to get an MC. My daughters' pedia is also near the market.

I should feel excited about moving, but I am not.

Dress Code

If wearing jeans every day of the week is the gauge for a great workplace, my new job would have a tie with my last workplace in the Philippines. Yes, we can dress down the whole week. I am so thrilled with this prospect. First day was ok. My boss took a picture of me from camera phone and sent this picture in an email to the global team. Oh man! Workwise, I find the team to be so organized and that scares me. After being lawless for a year, it's a big turnaround. When I opened my email this morning, I got almost 70+ mails, and my training plan already laid out. They also gave me a web camera and headset for team web conferencing. (I really need to lose weight now, the camera will add a few more pounds hahaha) Then, I found out that they don't come to work on time and we can leave at exactly 545pm. Woohoo! That's one of the things that were nagging me but I was so pleased to learn that. We even had a 1 and a half hour of lunch time. Hmmm... This could be very...

Busy

Bebi A : Daddy, can you make me an airplane? Daddy : Later Ava, I am busy Bebi A : You always say you're busy, you're hurting my feelings... She then put her face down on the sofa. Drama queen!

Nyamy Nyamy

Our Bebe A is at the stage of being cheeky and endearing.  She can speak so many words now, some clear, some not.  Hehehe.  She likes to sing as well.  She actually has a good tone.  One of the songs that she likes is the one from Wiggles --- Fruit Salad.  Her version though is : Mom : Fruit Salad Bebe A :  Nyamy Nyamy (Yummy Yummy)
