38

Today, I am 38.  What more could I ask for?  Hmmm, maybe good health to see my daughters through. The day started like any other day.  Greetings from family and friends were received.  Went to church at 12nn.  Then, went home.  Was able to haggle a small wish from Pre that turned out to be a bigger blessing --- him picking up the girls.  If I did, we would have been caught in the rain while the car's wiper was getting blurry (note to self : need to change wiper). We capped the night at Highpoint.  Spent most of it at Build a Bear then had dinner at Dumpling Plus.  The most special event of the night was when Pre and the girls surprised me with a plate of brownie, with a candle on it.  Sweet!

Life Passes You By...

It's the day before I say goodbye to 37 and say hello to 38.  Yes, I am in my late 30s.  Sometimes, I don't feel like it but there are times when my body's just tired. I felt that my 37th year passed by catching up on everything I need to do.  I don't want a repeat.  I want to set a goal for myself to achieve something.  It may not be something big but something that will make my heart say "yes!" I decided to have a bucket list for my 38th year.  I will try to fulfill it, after all there are 12 months starting tomorrow.

Joy of being a Mom

Sometimes I think of how big my belly became after giving birth to two kids.  Well, I could have exercised (I didn't though hahaha)...  So it's not fair to blame it on my pregnancies...  But, then, I wouldn't trade that for all the hugs, kisses and sweetness my daughters give me. Message I received from Bebi A this Mother's day. "Dear Mummy happy mother's day!  I hope you have a fan DAY!"

Another Fall

It's when the leaves turn to orangey brown.  Didn't realize there'll be a lot of downpour.  I couldn't remember that this happened during our first fall.  It's still the best season though.

The Week That Was

Had a tough week last week.  The whole week, I was stressing over someone who's just plain rude.  I told myself I won't get affected but still did. But, that was last week. This week.  I decided to become a blessing magnet instead.  I know that there's a pending confrontration ahead but I am prayign to the Lord that He will bless us with words that will touch other people's lives, with actions that will glorify him. I don't want to be very pessimistic.  The Lord is in control.  The Lord will make a way.

BEST DAD EVER!

This post is dedicated to the best dad ever! Most of the people that reads this blog probably knows my husband, Pre...  So you would probably shudder (LOL!) or whatever when you find out what he did for the girls... Since I leave at the ungodly hour of 630AM, he's the one who sends off the girls to school.  Well, yesterday was picture day.  And, being the kikay girls they are, they had to have their hair done.  So who would help them curl (using the InStyler) their hair but daddy!  And daddy did a great job!  Will post pics once we get them from the school.

Book Snake

We call her the BOOK SNAKE as she's not a worm anymore, this madness has gone too far hehehe.  You won't see her without a book these days.  I think it's a blessing in disguise that the Kindle was broken or else, she will just be glued there --- all day and all night.  We had to tell her off when we see the light at her room still on.  I know that I've been there.  I was probably the same.  I know that National Bookstore has been my favorite place during my teenage years.  At first, I was really thrilled that she loved reading, moreso writing.  Two of my favorite things to do.  We might not look alike but we're so alike in so many ways.  But, these days, I had to sometimes confiscate the book just to make her play or do other things.  I just don't want her to be socially inept - like me.
